This is still one of my all-time favorite songs in the entire world. I had the lyrics to this taped to the cinder-block wall of my freshman year dorm room. When I took a jewelry class in college, our first assignment was to make a silver ring based on a fairy tale. I instead based my ring on this song (it’s a beautiful ring; my classmates hated it).
Now, years later, this song has been through friendships and relationships and heartaches and successes and failures with me. But somehow, I never tire of it. And any sort of sadness it brings is the good kind of sadness.
(I apologize. I often start rambling when I talk about music I love. Sorry, but not that sorry.)
